Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojo (アリスとテレスのまぼろし工場) is an original Japanese anime film written and directed by Mari Okada. The film is produced by MAPPA Animation Production and is set to be released in Japan on September 15, 2023.

During MAPPA's 10th Anniversary Event in June 2021, a captivating trailer was unveiled for a groundbreaking anime project titled "Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojo." The project represents an original movie that explores the theme of first love and follows the journey of young individuals navigating an uncertain world, armed with love as their weapon against the forces of destiny.

The film features a talented team of creators, with Tadashi Hiramatsu serving as the assistant director, and Yuriko Ishii (known for her work on "Another" and "Persona -trinity soul-") designing the characters and assuming the role of chief animation director. Kazuki Higashiji (credited for "Angel Beats!", "Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow," and "The Piano Forest") is leading the art direction. Notably, all of these animators previously collaborated on Mari Okada's acclaimed film, "Maquia - When the Promised Flower Blooms." Enhancing the cinematic experience, Masaru Yokoyama (known for his work on "Her Blue Sky" and "Horimiya") is composing the music for the movie.

The forthcoming original anime film will be accompanied by an original novel written by Director Mari Okada herself. Scheduled for release on June 13, 2023, this novel marks her first in a decade since "Anohana." The cover of the novel features an exclusive artwork, with the background art skillfully crafted by Kazuki Higashiji, the Art Director of the anime film.
